Ruahine, Wellington, November 18. GENERAL NOTES. Messrs Henderson and Company, Limited, advise that the motor-ship Yomah will load at New York for New Zealand ports, sailing on December 8, and will include Bluff in her discharging itinerary. The United States Shipping Board’s steamer West Islip arrived from Dunedin at 7.30 a.m. yesterday with case oil and commenced discharge immediately. She has 19,500 cases to put out and is expected to leave for Hobart at 2 p.m. on Saturday. The two whale chasers, Pagodroma and Karrakatta left at 10.15 a.m. yesterday to join the rest of the whaling fleet at Stewart Island. The steamer Willesden, after a prolonged stay in Port, left for Lyttelton at 12.55 p.m. yesterday for further discharge. The Calm, from northern ports, is now due at Bluff on November 3. It is hoped to despatch her for Wellington and Wanganui, via ports, the same day. Messrs J. G. Ward and Company, local agents for the American-Australian-Orient Line, advise that the steamer Dewey will sail from Los Angeles on November 13 for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The West Conob sails from San Francisco on November 17 for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, Nelson, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. The Huntingdon, which was reported to be coming to Bluff, will not come further south than Port Chalmers. A small quantity of Invercargill cargo is to be transhipped from the latter port. The Wingatui leaves Dunedin at noon today for Bluff. She is due on Saturday morning and sails on Tuesday for Dunedin, Oamaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. The Wingatui will discharge about 700 tons of general cargo at Bluff. The Karetu leaves Timaru on Saturday for Bluff direct. The vessel should reach Bluff on Sunday and sails for Sydney direct on the following day. The Waipahi is due to leave Wellington about Wednesday next for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The vessel is due at Bluff about November 8 and will probably load for northern ports, including Napier and Gisborne. The Katoa is scheduled to sail from Auckland on Tuesday for Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The Katoa will probably be sent from Bluff to Port Craig to load timber. She is due at Bluff about November 9. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE.
