N.Z. LAMB
DISTRIBUTION OVERSEAS. AN ACCEPTABLE CHRISTMAS GIFT. When the Meat Producers’ Board underI took the distribution of New Zealand lamb ! overseas on behalf of people in New Zealand, the idea was so enthusiastically supjiorted that lietween 6,000 and 7,000 carcases have been forwarded since the scheme was placed in operation. Mr Adam Hamilton stated yesterday that the board was well satisfied with the success of the undertaking and he felt sure that even greater support would be forthcoming this season. Although the board would drstribnte the carcases at any time of the year, he said, the usual custom was to forward these in time to reach their destination just before Christinas. If people contemplated sending a lamb to the Motherland as a Christmas gift they should not delay sending in their ordens, he continued. There was bound to be a rush of ordens presently and though the board would deal with these as expeditiously as possible the work would be facilitated by an early forwarding of orders. All that is required to ensure the despatch of this acceptable Christmas gift overseas is to send 31/- to the secretary of the Meat Producers’ Board, Wellington, together with the address of the person to whom the lamb is being .sent and the address of the sender.
