Commander Kenworthy (Liberal) announces that he is joining the Labour Party. He says it is the duty of every Liberal and Radical, including Mr Lloyd George, to follow his example, since the Liberals are split from top to bottom and Labour is the biggest party.—A. & N.Z. Lieutenant-Commander the Hon. Joseph Montague Kenworthy, R.N., has been Liberal member for Cehtral Hull since 1919. He is the eldest son and heir of the 9th Baron Strabolgi and was born in 1886. During the war he commanded the H.M.S. Bullfinch and was appointed to the Admiralty War Staff in 1917 and was Assistant Chief of Staff at Gibraltar in 1918. He was retired in 1920.
