A THRIVING INDUSTRY

BRITISH MOTOR BUILDING. THE OLYMPIA SHOW. London, October 24. The motor show at Olympia is the biggest in Britain’s history. Already 200,000 cars have been sold by agents valued at £40,000,000. It is anticipated the closing will see the year’s output from mass production factories booked up. The show is strikingly international, every make in Britain, America, Canada, France, Austria and Belgium being shown, representing 98 manufacturers in addition to 63. bodybuilders. The British designs are by no means revolutionary though there are many modifications. elliptic suspension predominates; overhead valves are more numerous; four wheel brakes universal; and chassis generally lighter, better arranged, and neater.—A. and N.Z.
