MALE CHOIR

CONCLUDING CONCERT. The Invercargill Male Choir gave ite concluding concert last evening Ijefore an audience' that was both large and more appreciative than on Wednesday. The choir gave practically the same programme as on the previous evening and the items were enthusiastically received. Madame Mabelle Esquilant was equally enjoyable as on Wednesday, her songs being “Longing” (Tschaikovski), “Song of the Open” (La Forge), “Do Not Go My Love” (Hageman) and “Ships of Arcady” (Head). Mr Howard Faster chose two of Easthope Martin’s songs, the “Wayfarer” song and “Crown of the Year.” He repeated his first night’s number, the Prologue to Pagliacci, and also gave “When Lights Go Rolling Round the Sky” (Ireland). Items by the Orphans’ orchestra and the string quartet comprised the remainder of the programme, these being all enjoyable. Mrs A. E. H. Bath accompanied the soloists most artistically.
