FIELD—At the residence of his daughter, Mrs A. C. McCaw, Hakataramea, South Canterbury, on Saturday, the 25th inst., James Strickland Field (after a short illness). Funeral at Invercargill; private. COCKER ILL—At his residence, 7 Avenal Road, Invercargill, on Monday, September 27, 1926, Henry, beloved husband of Annie Cockerill; aged 73 years. Private interment. —Macdonald & Weston, Undertakers. GRAY—On September 27, 1926, at Gore, Gavin Campbell Gray, second eldest son of the late John and Jane Gray, late of Mat aura. Private interment. MOFFETT—At Riverton Hospital (suddenly) on Monday, 27th September, 1926, Allan Mills Moffett, of Orawia, second son of the late Henry and Mary Moffett; aged 52 years. The funeral will leave the Anglican Church, Otautau, on Wednesday, 29th inst., at 2.30 p.m. for the Otautau (new) Cemetery. Friends please accept this (the only) intimation.—W. R.
