PICTURE-GOER’S COMPLAINT.

To the Editor. Sir, —Last night I went to a certain picture show fairly early, and bought a circle ticket at the advertised price. On being informed by the usher that all seats below the railing were reserved, I retired to the rear. To my surprise about forty of the so called reserved seat remained empty all evening. Now it appears that the practice is to sell these seats to late comers as reserved seats, that is, to people who have not reserved at all. There is a by-law against this kind of profiteering in Christchurch. If there is none here patrons have a means that will be equally effective. All unreserved seats should be for sale at the advertised prices.—l am, etc., GRAB. September 24, 1926.
