N.Z. LEAGUE TEAM
ARRIVAL IN ENGLAND. ALL MEMBERS FIT. (Rec. 9.15 pan.) London, September 3. The New Zealand League players have arrived at Southampton. The manager, Mr Mair, said the team had trained thoroughly during the voyage. It was absolutely fit. The players’ weights ranged from 13 to 17 stone, and the fastest man could do 100 yards in 10 3-ssecs. He added that they had adopted unorthodox tactics which he hopes will bring success.—A. & N.Z.
