HEED TESTING

OTAUTAU GROUP. (From Our Correspondent.) The usual meeting of directors of the Otautau Group was attended by Messrs J. G. Flett (chairman), J. D. Clouston, W. R. Ayson, W. Young and P. G. Dahlenburg. The chairman reported the season had closed on May 31 with 28 members, and 1,141 cows in the group; and work had proceeded very smoothly throughout the season. A statement of accounts was submitted by the secretary, Mr. John Fisher, a very satisfactory financial .position being disclosed, and when the final instalment of dues was paid there would be a substantial credit balance for the year. All the plant requisites for continuing the work of the group was on hand, in good order and paid for. The secretary was directed to for wad a remit to the annual meeting of the Southland Association for an alteration in the brand. The chairman intimated having received a number of applications for membership for next season, and it was decided to enrol members at an early date to complete the group for 1926-27. The secretary was delegated to call a meeting of directors when the final payment of outstanding .dues was received. The allocation of the surplus funds of the group and the refund to members would then be determined. Accounts amounting to £43 19/- were passed for payment.
