Mason to sell, on his Farm, at Middlemarch, on the above date, his Well-known Herd of Dairy Cattle, Milking Plant, etc., comprising—--42 COWS, August to October calvers. 12 tWo-year-old HEIFERS. 12 Yearling HEIFERS. 2 Purebred AYRSHIRE BULLS, rising two years. 1 DRAUGHT GELDING, aged; good shafter. Four-cow Auto Milking Machine, with releaser and vacuum pump complete. This Plant is in real good order, and can be seen at work at any time. Also, 3 Stacks Lucerne Hay, containing approximately 65 tons. With the exception of five head, the cattle are Purebred Ayrshires. bred for the last 25 years from the best milking strain Bulls obtainable. The Cows are from three to six years old, and they will be guaranteed sound on day of sale. Mr Mason is retaining only six Cows, having decided to give up dairying. His herd has been specially culled, and now comprises probably the best lot of Ayrshire cattle in Otago. Buyers should leave Dunedin by the 7.52 a.m. train, arriving Middlemarch at 10.58 a.m. The train returning to Dunedin leaves Middlemarch at 2.24 p.m. Buyers will be conveyed by car to and from sale if application is made beforehand.
