GHASTLY AFFAIR

BODY EATEN BY DOG. Sydney, May 1. David Lynch, a selector near Taree, had been missing for some days. When policemen and a doctor broke into the house they were savagely attacked by a large kangaroo dog. They saw Lynch’s body lying on the floor with the head blown off and a gun alongside. They had to shoot the dog before they could gain entrance. They then discovered that a large portion of the body had been consumed by the dog during the five days it was locked in the room since Lynch’s death.—A. & N.Z.
