SEVERE ANTI-FOREIGN LAWS. DEPORTATION FOR INSOLVENCY OFFENDERS. (Rec. 55 p.m.) Capetown, March 26. The Government, in the face of a determined Opposition, including the Labour members, carried a clause empowering the Minister of Justice to deport anyone not born in South Africa for any offence under the insolvency law. Three Labour Ministers were absent to-day. The Prevention of Disorders Bill now published, also empowers deportation after conviction for sedition and compels natives after conviction to reside in a certain area.—Sun Cable.
