The Huntingdon was timed to leave Port I Chalmers on Saturday afternoon for Bluff. . The Mamari sailed from Port Ch alm pus ■ on Saturday morning to load at Wanganui j and other northern ports. En route from London to Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, New Plymouth and Nelson, the C. and D. Line has been advised by cable that the motor-ship Port Hobart passed through Panama Canal on March 20. She is due at Lyttelton about April 10. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company ' have been advised that the steamer Kia j Ora, which loaded in New Zealand and sailed from Wellington on February 27 for I London, continued her voyage from Colon ' on March 22.
The Swayne and Hoyt Line steamer West j Cahokia has been replaced by the Line’s steamer West Conab. The last-named j freighter is scheduled to sail from Los Angles on June 5, and is due to arrive at Auckland on June 29. Her other discharging ports are Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The trawler Express, after being two years | out of commission, is undergoing overhaul in drydock at Port Chalmers. Messrs J. McGregor and Company are attending to the machinery, and the Port Chalmers Shipwright Company is making the woodwork repairs, which includes the fitting of two new sister keelsons under the bunker. Captain D. Hanning, who is one of the most expert coastal skippers, is taking charge of the Express, and her operations will include investigation of the Nuggets fishing grounds. PORT CURTIS. Messrs Henderson and Company, Limited, agents for Commonwealth and Dominion Line, Limited, advise that the Port Curtis, which is due at Bluff about May 11, will not now load for American ports, but will load direct for London and proceed to her destination, via Panama Canal.
