ROTARY CONFERENCE
CONCLUDED IN MELBOURNE. (Rec. 7 p.m.) Melbourne, March 26. The Rotarians’ Conference closed after a series of sessions at which it discussed various subjects dealing with Rotarian objectives. Proceedings were of the happiest character, the speeches and the reading of papers being interspersed with the singing of Rotary songs. Over 500 Rotarians and their wives and guests, including 136 overseas and inter-State members, were entertained at luncheon by the Melbourne Rotary Club. Mr Holtz, the President, in his closing address, said the conference had dealt effectually with the mechanics and education of Rotarians and their relation to the community through the application of their golden rule. Next year’s conference is fixed for Adelaide. A sub-committee was appointed to consider the establishment of a Rotary Journal.
