IMPORTANT DECISION

POSITION OF SHAREMILKER. COMPLETION OF CONTRACTS. (Per United Press Association.) HAWERA, November 27. An important decision affecting a sharemilker was delivered by Magistrate Barton. A portion of plaintiff’s claim in the civil action included a sum for a bonus which item was not allowed by the Magistdate. In nearly every case a sharemilker makes his contract before the farming year commences, therefore, in practically every case the contract, not being completed within 12 months of the time it was made, comes within the statute grounds and is unenforceable unless the contract is in writing. This is the effect of the Magistrate’s decision.
