WE DO NOT.
(Written for the Southland Times.) We do not stand alone, Apart, like star from star; '• For the millions, blood and bone, Have made us what we are. Out of the depths of Time, The myriad peoples call, From Stone Age up to rhyme A grand processional. We are the crowds that pass, The smile on Nature’s face Pictured as in a glass, The pageant of the race. —Southerner. Invercargill. October 22.
