GOOD REVENUE SURPLUS. EXPENDITURE IN CONTROL. ' (Special to the Times.) WELLINGTON, May 8. Despite the heavy loss of revenue, caused by the nine days’ strike at its commence- .• ment, the financial year closed with a rev- i enue exces of £1,567,110 over expenditure, | which allowing for normal development was | kept well in control. The railway revenue for the financial year ! ended March 31, 1925 was £7,112,525 com- | pared with £6,984,212 for 1923-24, and the | expenditure was £5,545,415 compared with £5,403,766.
