CAUSE OF WOMAN’S DEATH A MYSTERY. (Per United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 8. At an inquest yesterday on Maude Ellen Bournewebb, aged 31 and married, the doctor was unable to give any opinion as to the cause of death and the inquest was adjourned for a post mortem. The husband and mother gave evidence that the woman always enjoyed good health. She became suddenly ill after eating a few mouthfuls of stew. She went to bed and woke groaning at 5 a.ny dying within half an hour. Both witnesses had eaten a portion of the same stew and felt no ill effects.
