SAD FATALITY

BABY BURNT TO DEATH. (Per United Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, April 30. A pathetic tragedy occurred near Patea to-day, when the infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Mead, of Lower Ball Road, was burned to death when the house was destroyed by fire. The mother and father were away at the milking shed at the time leaving a boy. in charge. When the boy discovered fire he could not reach the baby owing to smoke.
