NOT WANTED
BUT WILL NOT SHIFT. POLITICAL INCIDENT IN TRANSVAAL. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright). (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) CAPETOWN, March 15. An interesting situation has been created by the Transvaal Provincial Council passing a want of confidence resolution in Administrator Hofmeyer. He refused to resign, whereupon all the Transvaal members of the Ministry (Messrs Roos, Creswell, Kemp and Grobler) and all the Transvaal members of the South African Pact signed a declaration concurrnig in a no-confidence vote. This will be presented to the Premier. As the Provincial Council vote is avowedly a party vote much public interest centres in what the Premier, General Hertzog, will say to what is tantamount to an ultimatum from his Transvaal supporters.
