GENEVA PROTOCOL
BRITAIN’S ATTITUDE. WAITING FOR THE DOMINIONS. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright). (Reuter’s Telegrams.) LONDON, January' 22. Tn reference to the reports that the British Government is likely to drop the Geneva Protocol, it is understood so far no decision has been reached in that connection. No decision is likely till after full consultations with the Dominions and India. These consultations so far have not taken a very concrete form. It is pointed out that the British Government cannot well consider the dropping of the Protocol without previous examination of the question of security with a view to covering France if the Protocol is not adopted. CONSIDERATION IN AUSTRALIA NO DECISION REACHED. MELBOURNE, January 23. Mr S. M. Bruce, Federal Premier, denies that Cabinet finally decided to recommend the rejection of the Geneva Protocol Final consideration has not been given to the matter as Ministers have been too busy to consider it fully. The matter will be discussed exhaustively at a later date.
