January 12. “Strangler” Lewis lost the world’s wrestling championship last night to Wayne ! Munn, aged 27, comparatively a mere tyro in wrestling. A most spectacular contest was watched .by 20,000 spectators. Munn took the first i fall after 23 minutes, during which Lewis was unable to secure the headlock, which made him famous. Munn simply was too burly and powerful for the champion. The crowd was thrown into a turmoil, when after ten minutes of the second period had elapsed, Lewis, losing his temper, landed an uppercut to the former football star’s jaw. Munn blinked unsteadily for a moment, and then, catching Lewis, whose weight is now over 16 stone, hurled him bodily from the ring, landing him on his head amongst the ringriders. Lewis had never got such a handling before, and amid pandemonium, was awarded this fall on a foul, while the referee allowed him 15 minutes’ rest. Munn took the third fall easily, within three minutes, using the crotch hold, the same as he did in the first bout. Munn, who is a giant, has been wrestling for two years, and has never been defeated. THE BLUES What does a person mean when they say they have “the Blues?” Many people think it is a condition of despondency, which everyone has with more or less frequency, and that there is no relief from it except to let it wear off itself. This is an absolutely wrong impression. “The Blues” is j only another name for a torpid liver, and i sluggish action of the rest of the organs • which are the cleansers of the body. Regulate the liver, get the bowels moving regularly, thus banishing the poisons which enter ; the body when constipated, and you will ! have no more cause to say: “Just the : Blues.” A trial of Dr Morse’s Indian Root ■Pills will convince.
