AIRSHIP MARVELS

PICTURE OF NEAR FUTURE. TO AUSTRALIA IN EIGHT DAYS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright). (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, November 7. Two airships of the type mentioned yesterday are under construction. One of them is being built at the Royal Air Works, and is destined for naval and military purposes. It is understood that the other, which Vickers, limited, is building will be a pioneer air liner. She will be almost as long as the Aquitania. An air expert expresses the opinion that the public will be amazed at the developments in the near future. The new airship will accommodate 120 passengers, and she will have luxurious state rooms. She is expected to reach Bombay from London in five days, and Australia in eight days. The fuel will be heavy oil instead of petrol, which will mean economy and safety from fire. She is due for delivery in September, 1927. She will make a trial trip to India.
