TIENTSIN OCCUPIED
THE CHINESE WAR. (By Telegraph—Press Assn—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) PEKIN, November 4. (Received November 5, 8.20 p.m.) General Feng Yu-hsiang’s cavalry entered the Tientsin central station at mid-day, after quelling a slight resistance, and then marched along the line east' to the station which is within the foreign settlement with the object of disarming trains containg eGneral Wu Pei-fu’s troops. A fusilade developed in that station in which an Annamese soldier was wounded. The firing ceased upon the command of the Chih-li general. The President has telegraphed to the Yang-tse provinces requesting the authorities no to allow Wu Pei-fu to land.
