ROSS SEA EXPEDITION
THE LURE OF ADVENTURE. MANY MEN SEEK POSITIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright). (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). HOBART, October 31. (Received October 31, 9.30 pan.) The Consul for Norway, in Hobart, states that he has received hundreds of applications from all over the Commonwealth and New Zealand for twenty-five positions on the whaling steamer, Sir James Clarke Ross, which leaves Stewart Island at the end of November for the Ross Sea. One applicant came from Java.
