The members of the School Committee will shortly start on some much-needed improvements. They have under consideration an extensive sanitary scheme, besides other improvements to the playing areas. The weather has been somewhat disagreeable of late, strong winds prevailing. A slight rain fell yesterday. The Anzac Oval looks very well just now and it is a pity that the reserve near the Band Rotunda is not being beautified. It is a long time now since the reserve was levelled off, but apparently nothing more is to be done to it. The members of the Cricket Club are again very keen this year, and some keen and interesting matches have been played with teams from other town. This is the second season of the revival of this sport in Winton, and apparently it is firmly reestablished.
