The Arawa arrived early yesterday morning from Timaru to load for the United Kingdom. She is expected to sail to-day for Lyttelton. The Kaitangata sailed yesterday afternoon for Dunedin to complete discharge of coal loaded at Westport and Greymouth. The Wanka sailed last night for Auckland via Dunedin and way ports. The Turakina is due on Sunday night frorp Lyttelton to discharge from the United Kingdom and is scheduled to sail on Wednesday for Dunedin.

The Masula from Pensacola (Texas) via Wellington and Dunedin is due here on Sunday with 500 tons of asphalt from Puerto and sails on Monday for Newcastle. The Waikouaiti left Sydney on Tuesday night for Bluff. She is due here on Sunday and discharges 186 tons of cargo, sailing on Monday for Dunedin. The Calm is due from Lyttelton on Wednesday and sails the same night for Dunedin, Wellington and Wanganui. The Hertford is due on Tuesday from Liverpool via northern New Zealand ports to discharge cargo. MOERAKI DELAYED. The Moeraki, in continuation of her round trip from Melbourne, via Wellington, left Lyttelton last night for Dunedin and Bluff, and is not now expected here until Sunday morning, sailing for Melbourne probably on Monday night. The Union Company are hopeful however, of despatching her earlier, and intending passengers should keep in touch with the office of the Company today. ORETI FROM DUNEDIN. The Oreti is due at Invercargill with general cargo from Dunedin to-day. After discharge she sails on Saturday for Port Craig where she will load timber for Dunedin again. KOTARE LOADS TIMBER. The Kotare left Invercargill yesterday afternoon to load timber at Port Craig. She is due back at Invercargill to-morrow to sail on Sunday or Monday to load another timber cargo at Maori Beach, Stewart Island. TELEGRAPH REPORTS. COASTAL AND OVERSEAS. DUNEDIN, October 30. Arrived: Holmdale from Wellington, Gale from Lyttelton. Sailed: Oreti for Invercargill. LYTTELTON, October 30. Arrived: Maori and Moeraki from Wellington, Orepuki from Tarakohe, Kahika from Westport.

Sailed: Calm, Canadian Britisher and Maori for Wellington. AUCKLAND, October 30. Arrived: Port Chalmers from New York. Sailed: Iris for Suva, Karori for Westport, Trelessick for Wellington. TRAWLER WRECKED. TEN LIVES LOST. Ten persons were drowned and three saved from the wreck of the trawler Anida Islay, off the coast of Argyllshire. SCOW CATHKIT SAFE. ARRIVAL AT SYDNEY AFTER PERILOUS VOYAGE. SYDNEY, October 30. The overdue scow Cathkit was sighted off Sydney this morning and was later towed into port after a protracted voyage of 54 days from Tasmania. As a result of storms she was driven back into Bass Straits three times and subsequently sprung a leak but her cargo of timber prevented serious consequences, though the crew were kept hard at work at the pumps in the face of continued rough weather and high seas.
