Mr T. G. Fielder who has been officer in charge of the Christchurch branch of the Labour Department and Inspector of facttories since November, 1920, has resigned from the Department to go into private business wires the Christchurch correspondent of the Southland Tunes. Mr Fielder joined the Department as third Inspector of Factories at Auckland in August, 1914, and afterwards was Inspector of Factories at Oamaru and Greymouth, and officer in charge and Inspector of Factories at Invercargill. Mr Fielder will be succeeded by Mr A. E. Waite, who has had 17 years of experience in different capu L 1~3 Deva* tment.
