TROUBLE WITHIN

NEW SOUTH WALES LABOUR PARTY DISSENSION. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SY’DNEY, September 23. In the Assembly, the censure motion by Mr Lang was defeated by u 0 to 35. Mr Lang was taken to task by the Labour caucus for having launched a censure motion against the Government without first consulting or confiding in the party. A prominent member stated afterwards that Mr Lang would not be judged by the party, but by the speech he delivered in the House. If, in the opinion of the majority of members of the caucus, he was proved to have failed to put forward substantial charges against the Government, and evidence in support thereof, steps would be taken immediately to seek a new leader.
