BREACH OF PROMISE
WELL KNOWN ENGINEER SUED “IMPULSIVE LOVE’* (Per United Press Association.) WANGANUI, September 23. At the Supreme Court to-day, Gertrude Fleetwood was awarded £l5O damages against J. K. Lowe, Engineer of Railways, Auckland, and formerly of Invercargill, for breach of promise. Defendant, in evidence, admitted entering into an engagement, but said he very soon realised that he had acted on impulse,
and wanted defendant to take the initiative in breaking it off.
