EXTRAORDINARY CASE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) I Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, September 9. (Received September 10, 9.50 p.m.) Professor H. G. Evelyn White, lecturer at Leeds University, and a well known Egyptian archaeologist, committed suicide in a taxi cab at Leeds while proceeding to an inquest on Miss Helen Nind, a music teacher, to which he had been subpoened. The inquest disclosed that Miss Nind poisoned herself with carbolic acid. Correspondence between Professor White and Miss Nind was produced at the inquest.
