THE MISSING AVIATOR

NO SIGN OF THE ITALIAN. WAS HE LOST IN THE FOG? (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) WASHINGTON, August 25. The American world fliers arrived at Ivigtut (Greenland) on Sunday. The two ’planes made the jump from Fredericksdal to Ivigtut in two hours fifteen minutes. The Army Air Service was informed today that the radio message sent by Lieutenant Smith, commander of the flight squadron, made no mention that Lieutenant Locatelli, the Italian aviator, was missing. The cruiser Milwaukee, however, reported to-day that search for the Italian had been fruitless, and it is feared that he failed to get through the dense fog which the Am ericans encountered.
