DARING THEFT
POST OFFICE ROBBED. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) SYDNEY, May 26. By a smart ruse the Postal Department was robbed of £BOO. Men, apparently acquainted with the routine, obtained a pay cheque of the Engineer’s Department, and allegedly forged the signature of the cashier. They then got it countersigned by another official without arousing suspicion, and cashed it and disappeared without leaving a trace,
