Following the explosion of a bomb at the entrance to the British Legation in the early morning without casualties, five dynamite cartridges were found outside the Roumanian Legation but there was no time to fire them. The Republican Government believes the bomb was thrown in order to discredit it. M. Paparastassiun, who has just completed his Cabinet, made a hurried visit to the British Legation and expressed regret at the outrage, which only damaged the marble steps and door. A number of workmen were arrested.
