“STRUCK OIL”
RED INDIANS’ VALUABLE POSSESSIONS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright). (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) NEW YORK, February 14. According to a telegram from Pawhuska in Oklahama, there will be a world struggle for the oil concessions in the Osage Indian country on March 18th, when 19,100,305 acres will be sold by the Government at auction. Leadmg oil companies will bid for the tracts and as millions of dollars will be offered, the Osage Indians, already the richest people in the world, will see their wealth further increased.
