LONG ARM OF THE LAW. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, February 13. Thomas Sheehan, who absconded ten years ago when liberated on bail on a charge of manslaughter, was before the Supreme Court to-day. • It was alleged that on the night of February 27, 1914, he killed Frank Revell on the Hutt Road. It was alleged that through the negligence of prisoner, Revell, who was riding a motor cycle, collided with the vehicle Sheehan was driving. It was alleged that while Revell’s machine carried a light, prisoner, who had had some drinks at. a hotel, proceeded on his way after dark without lights. Prisoner said deceased was on the wrong side of the road. He was persuaded by friends to leave the Dominion. The jury, after a lengthy retirement, returned a verdict of “not guilty.”
