EMPIRE EXHIBITION
LABOUR MINISTER’S IMPRESSION. WILL STIMULATE TRADE. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). LONDON, January 28. Right Hon. J. R. Clynes (Lord Privy Seal), visited the Empire Exhibition in course of construction at Wembley. The Minister, after his inspection, expressed the opinion that the exhibits would do more in three months to educate public opinion regarding the extent of the Empire’s interests than the lifetime of other methods. “It is,” Mr Clynes declared, “certain to stimulate) trade which is one of the healthiest ways of developing friendship and cooperation by which alone Labour believes the Empire could endure.
