PORT OF BLUFF.

EXPECTED ARRIVALS. Tregenna, New York, to-day. Nardana, Liverpool and West Coast ports of United Kingdom, November 23. Moeraki, Melbourne via Wellington, Lyttelton and Dimedin, November 24. Kamo, Gisborne, November 26. Calm, Wanganui, November 28. Port Dennison, London via Fiji, November 28. Ngakuta, Auckland via ports, November 30. Waikouaiti, Sydney, December 11. The Opihi (Captain Elders) arrived from Dunedin at 11 a.m. yesterday. She discharged 117 tons of general cargo; loads 550 tons, and will sail about noon to-day. The Kaituna (Captain Jaunay) sailed for Dunedin at 12.30 a.m. to-day. The Calm is due at Bluff on Wednesday, . November 28 to load for Wellington and W anganui. The Kamo leaves Gisborne about Thursday or Friday for Bluff direct and loads on * Monday for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Wingatui is busily engaged discharging her Newcastle coal of which she brought 3,300 tons for Bluff. MOVEMENTS AT INVERCARGILL. The Maori Beach Timber Co.’s auxiliary ketch Kekeno will leave the Invercargill wharf this morning at 11 o’clock with 30 tons of general merchandise for Half Moon Bay. The Kotare left Dunedin yesterday for Invercargill and is due at Invercargill today and after discharging her cargo will sail for Port Craig. NUDDEA FOR BLUFF. The Nuddea left New York on November 15 for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin, Bluff and Sydney. TURAKINA AT AUCKLAND. The steamer Turakina, which arrived at Auckland on Monday from Liverpool via Panama, has general cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The local agents advise that the vessel is expected to reach Dunedin about December 4. The Turakina, which is on her maiden voyage, is the latest edition to the New Zealand Shipping Company’s fleet. TREGENNA DUE TO-DAY. The Tregenna, from New York, will arrive yr, Bluff to-day to discharge inward cargo, on completion of which she sails for Wanganui. NARDANA DUE ON FRIDAY. Che Nardana, from Liverpool -via ports and Dunedin, is due at Bluff on Friday to discharge general cargo. THE PORT VICTOR, The Port Victor from Glasgow and Liverpool, which left Panama on November 10 is due at Auckland on December 1 and at Dunedin about December 15. She will continue discharge at Dunedin and will then load in New Zealand ports for Home, and is to sail from Wellington on January 15 for London via Montevideo. THE PORT DENISON FOR BLUFF. The Port Denison, from London via Suva and Levuka, arrived at Lyttelton yesterday and will come south, arriving at Bluff to complete her unloading about Wednesday, 28th inst. WASHINGTON, November 19. It is announced that for the fiscal year 1923, the Panama Canal profits totalled 12,063,000 dollars, representing a gain of 2,862,000 dollars over the previous year. All nations but one increased their shipping through the canal, and 3907 vessels utilised it in 1923 as compared with 2736 vessels in 1922. Governor Morrow, of the Canal Zone, reports that its commercial importance is rapidly approaching that of the Suez Canal.
