SALE AT GISBORNE. A FIXTURE ARRANGED. ' (Per United Press Association.) GISBORNE, November 19. An important conference between representatives of the Wool Brokers’ Association, the Sheep Farmers’ Federation and the Farmers’ Union, decided unanimously to proceed with local sales of wool, for which over 15,000 bales have been entered. Despite the fact that Gisborne has not been placed on the official roster of wool buyers, private information has been received that representatives of wool buyers will attend. EAST COAST FREEZING CO. WHAKATANE, November 17. At the annual meeting of the East Coast Freezing Company the report stated that operations of the past, year were confined to killing and freezing fat stock and “boner” cattle on behalf of owners and exporters. The results were satisfactory considering the adverse conditions prevailing. The balance-sheet showed a loss of £2688 instead of an anticipated £5OOO.
