YESTERDAY’S GAMES. Fine weather favoured the first day’s play in the . season’s Wednesday fixtures. Two B. grade matches were played in town, the A. grade game, Winton v. Invercargill, being postponed on account of the Winton races. B. GRADE. —Waihopai v. Southend.— This fixture was played on the Southend courts and resulted in a win for the Waihopai team by 9 matches to 7.
