SOLDIER SETTLERS

BALLOT PREFERENCE REQUESTED. (Per United Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, June 20. A deputation from the R.S.A. waited upon the Land Board to ask for absolute preference for returned soldiers in the bailor, of six thousand acres at Waihao, near Wannate. The deputation said Mr Massey had been approached and replied that preference would be given to suitable soldier applicants, but the R.S.A. asked for absolute preference.
