PURSUANT to the provisions of “The Counties ‘Act, 1920,” and “The Rating Act, 1908,” and the amendments thereof, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Wallace County Council to make on FRIDAY, the 20th JULY, 1923, for the period commencing Ist April, 1923, and ending 31st March, 1924, on the Capital Value of all the Rateable Property on the Valuation Rolls of the Ridings respectively, viz.:— A General Rate of a penny and a farthing in the £ in Orepuki Riding, one penny, and one-eighth of a penny in the £ in Pourakino Riding, one penny in the £ in Waimatuku, Otautau, Wairio, and xMararpa Ridings, one penny and half a penny in the £ in Aparima, Waiau, and Wairaki Ridings, and under Section 41 of “The Hospital and Charitable Institution Act, 1909,” and Charitable Aid Rate of one-eighth of a penny in the £ on the capital value of all the rateable property in the County as entered in the Valuation Rolls, payable in one sum at the office of the Wallace County Council, Otautau, on the 10th August, 1923.
