KEEN CONTINENTAL DEMAND. LONDON, June 16. At the Liverpool wool sales 40,900 bales were offered, including 25,000 merinos, which was the last of Bawra’s stock of merinos. There was a large attendance and strong competition. Practically all were sold, Continental buyers taking 80 per cent. Home trade is rather quiet. Super greasy merinos were 5 per cent, below the London closing rates; medium 74, seconds unchanged; slipes 5 to 7| per cent below.
