MAGISTRATE’S COURT
WYNDHAM SITTING. A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held at Wyndham yesterday, before Mr G. Cruickshank, S.M. Three young men, Sydney Goodlet, William English, and Robert McKenzie were convicted and fined £2 with 7s costs each on a charge of mischief. Albert Alfred Egcrton was fined £1 and 7/- costs, for throwing glass out of a railway carriage window. The glass took the form of a whisky flash which struck a porter in the face causing slight injury. Robert McKenzie was convicted and fined 10/- with 7/- costs on a charge of taking liquor into a no license district, without a signed order. Frederick Cook was fined 10/- with 7/. costs for failing to give an order in writing for liquor to be taken into a no-license district. Three boys were convicted and fined 10/with 7/- costs each, for damaging the pro petty of the Wyndham Racing Club.
