(By Telej raph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) WASHINGTON, June 13. (Received June 14, 7.15 p.m.) The balance of trade has begun to turn against the United States. The imports of commodities during the first five months of 1923 totalled 1,765.757,000 dollars in value and exports 1,628,175,000. It was believed that under the circumstances the United States would begin heavy shipments of gold but this was not the case as 91,241,000,000 dollars worth of gold was brought in during the period.
