At the Calcutta tea sales the demand was fairly good, but the rates were slightly lower except for best liquoring sorts and teas with tip. Common sorts declined from three to six pice. THE WOOL MARKET. “BAWRA’S” STOCKS. "Bawra’s” stocks of wool on May 31 were: Australian merinos, 25,560 bales; cross-breds, 358,947; New Zealand, 217,000. The first of the sales of the English weol clip at Lincolnshire realised from 5s to 7s per 281 b above those of 1922. BRITAIN’S TRADE. LONDON, June 13. The imports increased during May by £7,534,270, and the exports by £13,509,511, and the re-exports by £2,808,527. The principal increases were: Imports— Dutiable food and drink, £2,775,547 ; wood and timber, £1,075,985. Exports: Coal, £4,798,120; iron and steel manufactureres, £2,379,126; machinery, £1,121,277; cotton yarn manufactures, £1,312, 517. The principal decreases were: Imports— Grain and flour, £2,875,555; raw cotton, £2,593,645; raw wool, £1,679,344. Exports: Vehicles, £1,209,568. DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE DUNEDIN, June 14.
