(Per United Press Association). AUCKLAND, June 13. At the Supreme Court, Arthur Patrick McDonald was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for indecent assault on a woman in a public street. Mr Justice Stringer remarked that accued, who was drunk, used brutal violence. Had it not been for the appearance of two boys serious consequences might have followed. At the Supreme Court, James Gothorp was sentenced to three years’ reformatory treatment on a charge of forgery and uttering. Mr Justice Stringer said the prisoner had broken his probation and was given another chance, but had committed the third offence. GISBORNE, June 13. At the Supreme Court Hongi Hapi, who had pleaded guilty to a charge of indecent assault was sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment. Frank Bailor, aged 26, appeared on several charges of theft. He was sentenced to imprisonment for three months on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent and to be followed by reformative treatment for three years.
