LOCKED OUT
THE PRINCE’S DILEMMA, ENTERS PALACE BY SKYLIGHT. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright). (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) MELBOURNE, June 13. A Sun cable states that all Erigland is laughing at the latest story of the Prince of Wales. The Prince, last week, lost the latch-key of his bachelor apartments in St. James’s Palace, returning after a dance in the early hours of the morning, and, unwilling to rouse the sleeping servants, he searched for a means of entrance. He found an open window, and obtained a legup from a patrolling policeman and disappeared into the room. He immediately, however, reappeared at the window and dropped to the pavement, explaining that the room was occupied by a female servant. The Prince and the policeman searched in opposite directions for another means of entrance. Presently the policeman heard the sounds of breaking glass, and discovered that the Prince had obtained an entrance by climbing on to a low roof, breaking a skylight and dropping to the float.
