Twenty-two women prisoners escaped by scaling the wall of Dublin Union prison with bare feet. Troops pursued and captured eighteen, but four got away, including Marie Comerford, a relative of Sir Thomas Esmond© and Kathleen Barry, a sister of Kevin Barry, who was recently executed. Mr Hogg made a statement in the House of Commons that the Government was appealing to the House of Lords in O’Brien’s case. It was hoped the hearing would commence on Monday. LONDON, May 10. The Attorney-General appealed to the House of Lords against the Appeal Court’s decision in the case of Art O’Brien. He ier-lared that the matter was urgent and isked for an early hearing. Lord Birkenoead said that as the issue involved the gravest public consequences, he would take the case on Monday and sit day by day till it was concluded. IRISH ENVOYS. DEPORTATION PROCEEDINGS START SYDNEY, May 11. (Received May 11, 9.20 p.m.I The Board to inquire into the deportation of the Irish Envoys has commenced its sitting.
