(Received May 9, 11.30 p.m.) After the defeat of all the Australian and New Zealand competitors in the ladies’ open golf championship, Miss Cummings (America) is the only formidable overseas player left in the second round. In the amateur championship Ouimet beat Bernard Darwin 3 up and 2 to play. Up to the third round six American players have dropped out.
